About You

Zipongo is looking to for an engineering leader who will provide thought leadership and technical guidance to take the existing systems and applications to the next level. You will hire great engineers who complement the existing team/skills. You will facilitate the execution of multiple projects running in parallel and you enjoy collaborating with the key stakeholders in Product, Design, Data Science, Marketing, Customer Success on achieving optimized solutions. You draw enormous satisfaction in directly managing talented engineers and fulfilling your key role in the organization as a champion of a culture built around people and trust.

Responsibilities

  • Nurture, motivate and get the most out of our internal talent
  • Hire great engineers
  • Contributes to the evolution of best practices and ensures they are put to use by the team
  • Contributes to the evolution of process development; recognizes where it’s needed and more importantly where it’s not to ensure smart and efficient execution by the team
  • Play a key leader in product spec and tech design review sessions
  • Mentoring and providing guidance to other members of the engineering team
  • Conducts retrospectives and drives action items forward
  • Disseminate high level requirements into specifics
  • Take complex problems and arrive at efficient solutions.
